Energy-Efficient Computing Strategies for Sustainable Information Systems

Author Name, Co-Author Name
Abstract

The continuous growth of digital infrastructure has increased computational energy consumption and strengthened the need for sustainable information systems. This paper investigates energy-efficient computing strategies for reducing resource consumption while maintaining acceptable system performance. The study examines workload optimization, resource virtualization, dynamic resource allocation, efficient algorithms, and intelligent scheduling techniques. These strategies can help computing environments reduce unnecessary processing and improve utilization of available resources. The research also discusses the relationship between performance requirements, computational workload, and energy efficiency. A conceptual framework is proposed for evaluating sustainable computing strategies across different information system environments. The findings indicate that energy efficiency can be improved through coordinated hardware, software, and workload management approaches.
